Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
